Brazilian menhaden

Scientific name: Brevoortia aurea
The Brevoortia aurea belongs to a relatively small species that reaches 40 cm in maximum length. Its characteristic colors are dark blue and silver. It is a species that can be found in regions such as Salvador de Bahía (Brazil), the Rio de la Plata, Bahía Blanca and Mar del Plata. Its period of greatest capture comprises from December to February.
